Lifelong Learning Institute

Academics

Members of the Lifelong Learning Institute attend an extensive program of lectures, workshops, discussion groups, and field trips. The academic curriculum is structured to include member input through surveys and includes a wide range of speakers and topics such as music, history, politics, art appreciation, marine biology, human development, French literature, world cultures, legal issues, comparative religion and much, much more.

LLI classes are led by NSU faculty members, peer leaders, and prominent visiting experts. Many speakers, faculty members, and guests come for a single event, while others come for a short series. NSU students at all levels and disciplines are also encouraged to present their work and research to the LLI. This also provides wonderful intergenerational learning opportunities for everyone involved.
