Medical Student Performance Evaluation
(MSPE)
The name of the dean's letter has been changed to Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) Sample MSPE in order to reflect its purpose as an evaluation of a medical student's performance (rather than a recommendation or prediction of future performance). The MSPE describes, in a sequential manner, a student's performance, as compared to that of his/her peers, through three full years of medical school, and, as much as possible, the fourth year. The MSPE includes as assessment of both the student's academic performance and professional attributes.
Students are required to complete an on-line application that supplies the Office of Student and Administrative Services with the information that is needed to complete the MSPE by June 1st The Office for Student and Administrative Services can not guarantee that MSPEs will be completed to meet program deadlines if form is submitting after June 1st. In addition to the information provided by the student, the student's clinical rotation evaluations will part of the MSPE. Appendixes are required for each MSPE that includes a graphic representation of the student's performance, relative to his/her peers, and a medical school information page.
Students/graduates wishing to review their MSPE may do so by scheduling an appointment after September 1st. To schedule an appointment, please e-mail sas@nsu.nova.edu or (954) 262-1485. Due to logistics and the heavy workload, no walk-ins will be accommodated.
