POSTED: October 30, 2012 Positions Available: Osteopathic Pediatric Program Director Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) and West Virginia University - Charleston Division in Charleston, West Virginia is seeking candidates for the position of Pediatric Osteopathic Program Director for a dually accredited pediatric program. The position will integrally serve as faculty within the West Virginia University-School of Medicine- Charleston Division Department of Pediatrics. Candidates must be residency trained in Pediatrics and AOBP certified/eligible and have a minimum of three (3) years clinical experience. Preference will be extended to applicants with pediatric subspecialties. Providing an excellent experience for residents, CAMC is an 836-bed teaching hospital consisting of three hospital facilities, including a Level I trauma center and a Women's & Children's hospital. The Pediatric residency is a three-year program, fully accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and by the Accreditation Council for Graduation Medical Education (ACGME). The program approved for a complement of 18 residents is well established and received full accreditation from the AOA and the ACGME for a five year period. CAMC is the largest teaching hospital in West Virginia and serves as the sponsoring institution for 11 graduate medical education programs approved by the ACGME/AOA and other graduate level programs including pharmacy residencies, a psychology internship and a School of Nurse Anesthesia. Affiliated with the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and West Virginia University School of Medicine, CAMC is a regional campus for over 100 medical students completing their 3rd and 4th year of clinical training. CAMC has received numerous awards and recognition for its patient care quality and many services to the community. As West Virginia's largest city, picturesque Charleston offers both urban amenities and abundant outdoor activities. POSTED: June 27, 2012 Position Available Physician Needed!! Excellent opportunity for a Physician looking to start their own practice or grow their existing practice!! Positions available in Lake Mary, Oviedo and Clermont. Highly regarded medical weight loss clinic seeking a physician to join their practice to assist with patient consults and to prescribe controlled substances. The physician in this position typically sees 12-18 new weight loss patients a week, spread out over a 5 day, M-F schedule, in addition to returning weekly patient’s, where necessary. The additional time will be spent seeing your own patients in this space already provided. The clinical space and staff are operated separately from the physician's. The space consists of a waiting room, reception area, medication room, consultation room, 2-3 weigh-in rooms, a supply room, break room, and consultation room. The physician separately runs their own clinic, their own staff, and their own space. Typically, the physician’s time ranges between 2 and 4 hours a week in fulfilling the duties above. New patient visits last 1.5 to 2 hours. The physician has the freedom to see the patient anytime during the scheduled visit, providing the physician flexibility on scheduling and caring for their own practice’s patient and workflow. The hours of operation are: 3 days a week from 7am to 4pm, one day a week from 7am to 7pm, and on Friday, from 7am to 12 noon. The offices are closed on the weekends. The physician is paid a set amount each month under an independent consultant's agreement, which may increase, depending on the volume of patients over time. This also often generates substantial traffic flow and new business exposure for the physician--the physician is examining 12-18 new patients a week (many that may not have a primary doctor) in addition to the weekly repeat patient traffic flow.
