St. Vincent’s Medical Center is a 528-bed acute care community hospital on the banks of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, FL.  The Family Medicine Residency Program was established in 1972 as an ACGME accredited program, and has over 200 graduates in practice.  While maintaining our ACGME accreditation, the PGY-1/intern year has been accredited as an Osteopathic Internship since 2003.  We anticipate AOA accreditation of the Family Medicine Residency in 2006.

There are 15 full-time Faculty in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Behavioral Science, and Pharmacology.  Completed in October 2004, the new 30,000 square foot Family Medicine Center houses the residency practice where both faculty and residents provide care to their own panel of patients.  Laboratory, radiology and surgical facilities, 40 patient exam rooms, conference rooms, along with faculty and resident offices are designed for excellence in patient care and resident education.
