Palmetto General Hospital is a 360-bed full service acute-care facility in Hialeah (greater Miami) providing a broad range of services that includes medical/surgical, cardiac catherization, cardiopulmonary, pediatrics, obstetrics, outpatient surgery, psychiatric, lithotripsy, and radiation therapy. Specialty units include neonatal intensive care, coronary care, intensive care, and surgical intensive care. Treatment centers include the Wound Management Center and the Oncology Treatment Center. Palmetto General is the site of an affiliated rotating internship, Family Medicine residency, and an Internal Medicine residency. In addition, Palmetto General Hospital is approved to train 40 third-year and fourth year NSU-COM students.

- Family Medicine Residency: 26 positions
- Internal Medicine Residency: 24 positions
- Annual Stipend:
Traditional Internships: $38,500.00
OGME2: $40,000.00
OGME3: $42,000.00
- Benefits: medical, dental, and professional liability insurance; two (2) weeks vacation; lab coats; meals while on duty; AOA dues, and for PGY-II and PGY-III five (5) days CME and $1,000.00 stipend.
